"His/Hers"

Here is a flash-fiction story I wrote for a contest where the story had to be exactly 100 words and have a beginning, middle and end. I hope you like it.

He was a collector; she was not. For a time, she added to the collection, thinking the gifts would satisfy him, thinking the collection would be finite. Twenty years later, it seemed infinite, rows and rows of model cars clogging almost every horizontal surface. Finally, the cars began to line up along the house’s baseboards.
“Tell the maid to be careful when she dusts,” he said. “Last week she broke an antenna.”
When the maid arrived, she took her aside and whispered: “If you make it all disappear, make it look like a robbery, I’ll pay you a thousand dollars.”
